Billable Weight & Shipping Fees

What is billable weight?

Billable weight is the weight used to determine your shipping cost. It is based on either the actual weight or the package or the dimensional weight--whichever is greater

How can my billable weight be reduced?

At The K-Addy, we reduce your billable weight by using efficient packing methods. This includes consolidating multiple items into one package, removing unnecessary packaging materials, and repacking everything tightly to eliminate extra space and air. By minimizing the size and volume of your shipment, we can help lower the dimensional weight and, in turn, reduce your overall shipping cost.

Why is my billable weight higher than expected?

Even though we pack items as efficiently as possible, some packages may still have a higher billable weight due to bulky or irregularly shaped items that create extra space. If your shipment includes fragile or delicate products, we also add protective materials to ensure they arrive safely. This added cushioning can increase the overall size of the package, which affects the billable weight.

Are there extra charges besides the shipping fee?

Our international shipping fee includes the following value-added services at no extra cost: 45 days of free storage from the date your package arrives, consolidation and repacking, arrival and pre-shipping photos, a sturdy corrugated shipping box, and extra protective materials.

However, additional charges may apply for optional services such as extended storage (after 45 days), shipping insurance, unboxing videos, "inclusions only" requests, or assisted purchasing fees. For a full breakdown visit our Services & Pricing page.

My country is not listed in the shipping fees table. Can I still sign up and use your services?

What is the cheapest way to ship from Korea?

The most cost effective shipping option depends on your package's size, weight, and how quickly you need it delivered. For smaller and lighter packages, EMS Korea Post is often the more affordable choice, with an average delivery time of 7 to 10 business days to most countries. For larger and heavier shipment, EMS Premium usually offer better value, delivering 5 to 7 days with faster transit and competitive rates for bulkier items.

Our primary shipping partners and default couriers are  EMS Korea Post and EMS Premium. We will choose the more cost-effective option for you. If you prefer alternative couriers such as UPS, FedEx or DHL, please indicate it in your shipping request. Note that the rates quoted in our shipping fees table apply exclusively to EMS Korea Post. For other courier options, we will provide a separate shipping quote.
